CMLC Water Line Replacement Project

In the Supply Water Cement-Mortar Lined-Coated (CMLC) Piping Replacement project we replaced more than 2,100 feet of aged (over 50 years old) CMLC of Domestic and Fire Water Lines with new DIP (ductile iron piping) site-wide, in a prioritized order. Replacements were necessary to mitigate potential failures that could impact fire protection systems, cause unplanned shutdowns of scientific operations, and require expensive emergency repairs.

This was executed in a manner least disruptive to Client employees regarding both building water service interruptions and site circulation, while working safely and optimizing the budget and schedule.

The CMLC self-performed with more than 16,000 safe-manhours and zero incidents.
